چکیده

This paper considers the internal stability of an interconnection of two implicit systems based on passivity theory. The passivity for implicit systems is defined as a generalization of the passivity in the traditional input-output framework. We derive a necessary and sufficient condition for the passivity of an implicit system in terms of a constrained linear matrix inequality (CLMI). Based on this CLMI condition, we derive a sufficient condition for the internal stability of an interconnection of two implicit systems. Copyright c © 2002 IFAC

Passivity-Based Stability Analysis and Robust Practical Stabilization of Nonlinear Affine Systems with Non-vanishing Perturbations

This paper presents some analyses about the robust practical stability of a class of nonlinear affine systems in the presence of non-vanishing perturbations based on the passivity concept. The given analyses confirm the robust passivity property of the perturbed nonlinear systems in a certain region. Moreover, robust control laws are designed to guarantee the practical stability of the perturbe...

Passivity Analysis and Passivation of Event-Triggered Interconnected Systems Using Passivity Indices

We consider the passivity analysis and passivation problems for event-triggered feedback interconnected systems. Based on the location of the event-triggered samplers, we consider two event-triggered control schemes respectively: event-triggered sampler of plant output and event-triggered sampler of controller output. For both schemes, we first derive the conditions to characterize the level of...

Passivity Analysis and Passivation of Interconnected Event-Triggered Feedback Systems Using Passivity Indices

In this paper, passivity and passivation problems for event-triggered feedback interconnected systems are addressed. We consider passivity in two event-triggered control schemes based on the location of the event-triggered samplers: sampler at plant output and sampler at controller output. For both schemes, we first derive the conditions to characterize the level of passivity for the interconne...

Stability analysis for interconnected systems with "mixed" passivity, negative-imaginary and small-gain properties

An analytical framework to examine the finitegain stability for a positive feedback interconnection between two stable, linear time-invariant systems where one system has “mixed” passivity, negative-imaginary and small-gain properties and the other system has “mixed” negative-imaginary, negativepassivity, and small-gain properties is proposed. A classical Nyquist argument is used to examine the...

Passivity of Interconnected Asynchronous Discrete-Time Systems

This paper presents a constructive algorithm to design local controllers for feedback systems that are interconnected via time-varying and asynchronous sampling. These systems result in many application fields such as remotely-operated systems, interconnected vehicle control loops, and more generally in component-based control design where synchronous exchange of information is not feasible. Th...
